A well attended meeting was held in the Village Hall on Tuesday to inaugurate a Young Wives Group in Boxford. Lady Cull, who presided, said 'Here is an opportunity for all the young wives in this growing village to get to know each other in a modern and friendly way.'

A small committee was formed to discuss plans and a further meeting is being held on Tuesday, March 24, to which all are welcome, to elect the officers. Mrs. Margaret Chapman is acting as Hon. Secretary for the time being. It has already been decided that the Group shall meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month and it is hoped to provide a lively range of activities and outings.
