Jane Gosling, the former Manager of the Guildhall in Lavenham, a National Trust Property, and an expert on the Cloth Trade, will be giving a talk entitled Boom and Bust in Medieval Lavenham in the village hall in Boxford.

Lavenham was the heart of the thriving cloth industry, whose merchants made it one of the wealthiest towns in Tudor England. The talk explores their rise to fame, the houses they left behind and the following crash.

Tickets are free for members of the Society and only £2 per person for visitors.
